Vocal Class Descriptions
1. Show Choir
This group is comprised of advanced Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass Singers. This group will perform not only at our Winter and Spring Concert, but also in events outside of school including, but not limited to The Bethany Beach Tree Lighting and at Kings Dominion Amusement Park.
2. Treble/Mixed Choir
This group is comprised of beginning and advanced Soprano, Alto, and emerging Baritone voices and will perform at the Winter and Spring Concerts and community field trips.
3. Music Composition & Production
This class will explore and create music compositions for video games, movies, and DJ Smash-ups through online platforms like Garage Band and Beepbox. Students will also experiment with different forms of music production. This class focuses on project-based learning.
Honors Choir Opportunities
If you are a member of a vocal music ensemble, you also have the opportunity to audition for All-County and All-State Honors Choir where you will get to take a field trip to join other elite county and state choral ensembles to rehearse for a concert with a special guest conductor.
Choral Class Materials
1" Black Three Ring Bincer with Pocket
Three ring binder is necessary for class to keep your music organized.
**Please do not get a binder larger than 1"
Pack of Multi-Colored Highlighters & Pencil
All students will need to keep a pack of highlighters in their assigned class mailbox to highlight their choral scores.
Dividers
All students should put a pack of dividers in their folder to keep their music separated and neat. Show choir students will need at least two packs of dividers.
Music Composition & Production Materials
Charged Chromebook
Students will need to ensure that they bring a charged chromebook and their chromebook charger to class every day.
Headphones
All students will need to bring a pair of headphones to class every day.
